Gerard H. Langevin

Gerard H. "Jerry" Langevin, 92, died Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home in Bristol. He was the husband of the late Genevieve (Kulik) Langevin.Born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Hector and Priscilla E. (Cournoyer) Langevin. He had been a resident of Riverside for over 43 years.Mr. Langevin was the manager of the Goodrich Tire Store on Post Road in Warwick for 20 years, then was employed at the A. A. White Stamp Company until his retirement in 1991.Jerry was a member of the East Providence Senior Center, and a former member of the East Providence Lions Club. He was an Army Air Force Veteran during World War II.Jerry is survived by his beloved son Marc G. Langevin and his daughter-in-law Karen M. Langevin of Cranston, and a grandson Paul M. Langevin.His funeral will be held Friday, at 8:45 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in the Church of Saint Mark, Garden City. Burial with military honors will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence. Visting Hours Thursday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA in his wife's memory will be appreciated.
