Giulio C. Lancellotta

Smithfield Giulio C. Lancellotta, 80, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 8, 2017 surrounded by his family at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Care Center. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Baribault) Lancellotta for the past sixty years. Born in Fornelli, Italy, he was a son of the late Antonio and Livia Rosa (Maglioli) Lancellotta.In addition to his wife Barbara, he leaves his seven children, Anthony Lancellotta, Olivia Corsi, Giulio Lancellotta, Barbara Hebert, Albert Lancellotta, Gene Lancellotta, and Domenic Lancellotta; thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as his sister, Josephine, and his brother, Filiberto. He was predeceased by his brother Vincenzo. Giulio was a foreman at Forte Brothers Construction Company for over 40 years before retiring, and enjoyed gardening as well as carpentry creations.He was a devoted husband and father and will be sadly missed.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, at 10:00 am, in Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Avenue, Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Monday, 4:00 - 8:00 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence.In lieu of flowers donations to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02904 in his memory will be appreciated.
