

NarragansettMcManus, Helen F. (King), 84, of Bonnet Shores, died peacefully on Saturday, March 17, 2007, at South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward W. McManus. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Francis M. and Helen R. (Gallagher) King, she had lived in Providence for many years before moving to Narragansett in 1977. Mrs. McManus was a communicant of Saint Thomas More Church, Narragansett, for the past thirty years, and was a former communicant and choir member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Providence. Helen leaves four children; Edward W. McManus of Narragansett, Elaine F. Smith of East Greenwich, Most Reverend Robert J. McManus, Bishop of Worcester, Massachusetts, and Paul F. McManus of Avon, Indiana. She also leaves seven loving grandchildren and five loving great-grandchildren. She was a sister of the late A. Hope King and Francis M. King. The funeral will be held Thursday, at 8:30 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt117) Warwick. Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, One Cathedral Square, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4 - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Scalabrini Villa Health Care Center Memorial Fund, 860 North Quidnessett Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852 in her memory will be appreciated.
