

Howard Miller, an 86-year-old resident of Auburndale, Florida, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Winter Haven Hospital. He was survived by his wife of 55 years, Priscilla, his two sons, Joel and Christopher, and his two grandchildren, Isaac and Remy. Howard was predeceased by his sister, Barbara. When Barbara passed away, her children, Gary and Lisa, moved in with Uncle Howard and his family until they went off on their own. He was the brother of the late Milton Miller, and their brother Sanford passed away shortly after Howard’s passing. He is also survived by his niece, Lisa, and nephews, Elliot, Gary, and Lawrence. He was predeceased by his niece, Brenda, and nephew, Kenneth.
Howard was a proud son of Rhode Island, having been born and living most of his life in and around Providence. He graduated from Hope High School and worked in his father’s store, the Fairlawn Spa, in Pawtucket. The Spa was a fond memory he shared with friends. After serving in the armed forces, Howard worked as a salesman in various industries until he retired to Auburndale, Florida.
His funeral will be held Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 12:30 pm in the Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope Street, Providence. The family will receive visitors from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm prior to the service. Burial will be private.
