O'Connell, Jr., 89, of Carpenter St., passed awayon March 3, 2015.Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Howard J. and Elizabeth (Marsden) O'Connell, Sr.Howard was a master carpenter for various builders in Rhode Island. He was a World War II Army veteran.He was the brother of the late Marie E. O'Connell-Shanley and HerbertJ. O'Connell. He was the uncle of Joan M. DiCarlo, William P. Shanley, Elizabeth R. Lewonis, Debra Raacke. Karen Graziano and Charles Kim.His funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 8:00 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Clement Church, Long St., Warwick.
