

Bonde, Ida M. (Cullen) RN, 96, of Cranston, passed away Monday at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late John H. Bonde. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Robert T. and Hattie (Hussey) Cullen, she was a School Nurse Teacher for the Providence School Department, mainly at Hope High School, until her retirement in 1978. Ida was a graduate of the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1934, and she received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Rhode Island College, Class of 1971. She was a member of the Rhode Island Hospital Nurses Alumni Association, the Lucy Ayers Association and was a member of the Providence Retired Teachers Association.She is survived by her devoted children, John R. Bonde and his wife Rosalie of Cranston, Kathleen A. Curtis and her husband George of Warwick, and four cherished grandchildren, Lori Martin, Jacqueline Cannata, David Curtis and Marianne Packer.Her funeral will be held Friday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in Saint William Church, Pettaconsett Avenue, Warwick. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the RI Hospital Nurses Alumni Association, 105 Lockwood Street, Providence, RI 02903 in her memory will be appreciated.
