Isabel Lopez, 97, of Providence, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025. Born in El Salvador, she was the daughter of the late Modesto Lopez and Iginia Benites, and the sister of Carmen De Paz-Lopez.
Isabel worked for many years as a dedicated laborer in the manufacturing industry before her retirement.
She was the loving mother of Jose Lopez and the late Carlos Lopez. Isabel will be remembered for her passion for cooking and the joy she brought to family gatherings. She was the cherished grandmother of Brenda, Connie, Carlos E., and Vanessa; great-grandmother of five; and great-great-grandmother of three.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Avenue, Providence, RI 02909. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew’s Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence, RI 02909, with burial in St. Ann Cemetery.
