ProvidenceJames J. "Jimmy" Braddock, 60, of Harwol Court, died Wednesday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.Born in Providence, a son of the late Arthur Braddock and Anna Carver, Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Providence.He was a self - employed professional painter for many years, retiring recently due to illness.Jimmy leaves five sons, James J. Braddock, Jr., Brandon M. Braddock, Sean S. Braddock, Christopher J. Braddock, and James Counts; a daughter, Sheila M. Braddock, a brother, Ralph Simone; two sisters, Dottie Braddock and Gladys Braddock; and fifteen grandchildren. He was the father of the late Summer Counts and brother of the Arthur and Robert Braddock and Alfred Simone.The funeral service will be held Monday, at 11:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visitation begins at 10:00 am on Monday morning.
