James F. Harrington

Lincoln James F. Harrington, 61, of Lincoln, passed away Sunday morning at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Care Center. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Entwistle) Harrington for the past thirty-eight years.Born and raised in Providence, he was a son of the late James F. and Theresa C. (O’Connor) Harrington.Jim, like his father, was a tour superintendent for the U.S. Postal Service, Turnkey, for thirty years, retiring in 2013. An avid golfer, he was a member of Lincoln Country Club for over fifty years. He was a 1974 graduate of LaSalle Academy.In addition to his wife Nancy, he leaves a son, James M. Harrington; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Harrington; three sisters, Peggy Coleman and her husband Mark, Patricia Santos and her husband Michael, and Mary Vecoli and her husband Michael; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Bailey.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, at 10:00 am, in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4:00 - 8:00 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence.
