James "Jimmy" Reynolds, Jr

James C. "Jimmy" Reynolds, Jr., 64, of Providence, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2013 at home. He was theloving husband of the late Ellen J. Watt. Born in Providence, he was the son of thelate James C. Sr. and Viola (Parant) Reynolds. Jimmy was a professional audio engineer for 40 years working in the Providence music scene as well with national and international bands such as InnerCircle, The Black Crows, Ulu, The Drop Kick Murphy's, Diane Blue, John Hammond, The Schemers and many more. He was Assistant Engineer 1999-2013 on many of these artist's recordings, had significant radio air play and are still in rotation today across the United States and abroad some receiving attention from the National Blues Foundation and many nominated for National Blues Foundation awards and wins. Jimmy was audio engineer for InnerCircle on their "Bad Boys, Bad Boy's" World Tour as well as Audio Engineer from 2006 - 2013 at the world renowned Chan's in Woonsocket, RI. Jimmy was also a partner with Banzini Brothers Concert Promoters from 1975 to 1982 bringing acts such as Boston, Bruce Spingsteen, The J. Geils Band, Elvis Costello, Tom Rush and many more to the Providence and New England area. He was highly respected and well known in his trade over the duration of his career. He enjoyed reading, movies, social media interaction and of course his greatest passion, music!He leaves his brother, Greg Reynolds, of East Providence; a nephew, Patrick G. Reynolds, of Warwick, and a niece, Meredith E. Reynolds, of Riverside, Rhode Island. Jimmy also leaves his loving cousins Donna, Judy, Susan, Charlie, Barbara, Ginny, Sandy and their families along with his many great friends. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jimmy's family on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 2:00- 4:00 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
