Janice M. Christie

ProvidenceJanice M. Christie, 72, of Providence, died Tuesday at the Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late James F. Duby and the late William Christie. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy (Healey) Giblin, she was a lifelong Providence resident. Mrs. Christie was an inspector for Nyman Manufacturing Company of East Providence for thirty-five years. Until very recently, she was a supervisor at the Target Store in Seekonk, Massachusetts for the past several years. She was a communicant of Holy Name Church, Providence. Janice leaves three daughters, Patricia M. Schoeninger of Cranston, Donna M. Pow of North Providence, and Karen A. Victoria of East Providence; two sisters, Nancy Carberry and Judith Viccione, both of Warwick; four grandchildren and three step-children. She was a sister of the late William Giblin. The funeral will be held Friday, at 8:15 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in the Lady Chapel of Holy Name Church, 99 Camp Street, Providence. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8 pm.
