Joan Barbara Angell

Joan B. Angell, 73, of Providence, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, in Providence. Born in Providence, a lifelong resident, a daughter of the late Raymond J. Sr., and Dorothy E. (Cornell) Angell. Joan was employed as a claims assistant for ten years at the Rhode Island Interlocal Trust and previous to that she worked at Bank of Boston and Peoples bank for many years. She was devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed cooking and spending time at home. She is survived by a brother, Raymond J. Angell, Jr., of Cranston; a sister, Dorothy H. Savard, of Providence. Joan is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 8:45am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, in Saint Augustine Church, Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours will be on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
