Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mildred (Parkhurst) Duffy.
John was a flooring installer for Fain’s Fine Carpeting and Paul’s Floor Covering for many years before retiring. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was the father of John P. Duffy, Jr. and Marguerite “Margie” Duffy; grandfather of Brianna, Casey, Danielle, Jillian and Gianna and brother in law of Frank “Bobo” Marrapese.
His funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 am in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION FRIDAY 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM.
