Rev. John Wesley Miller Jr.

Born in Claxton, GA he was the son of the late John Wesley and Elise ( Jones ) Miller, Sr.

Mr. Miller worked as a lineman for Narragansett Electric for 35 years until his retirenent. An accomplished man and a man of faith, John would go on to earn his doctorate in Ministry. Preaching the gospel became his life after retirement and he built his church with his faith. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Mr. Miller also served his country honorably in the United States Army.

John is survived by one daughter Wanda Miller of Providence, RI; Two grandchildren, Keith Miller and Latoya Miller of Providence, RI; Three great- grandchildren Tenisha Miller, Kyra Miller and Jayzin Miller of Rhode Island. As well as, one great -great- grandchild, Amina Miller of Providence, RI. He also leaves behind his sister Carol Briggs of New Mexico his brother Kenneth Miller of Providence his close friend Patricia Smith of Providence and many nieces and nephews.

John is pre-deceased by his siblings James Miller, Dorothy Black and Robert Miller.

Family and friends may call Thursday February 10, 2022 from 9:00-10:30 am with a Funeral Service at 10:30 am in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
