He was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to the late Simon Candelario and Patria Jerez. Jose worked as an auto mechanic. He loved helping others and spending time with his family.
Jose is survived by Joselin Candelario; his children, Katherine Candelario and husband Yanie Tromp, Joselys Candelario, Bryant Candelario, and James Candelario; his brothers, Adolfo Jerez, Daniel Jerez, Joselo Miliano, Juan Miliano, Casimiro Miliano, and Esteban Miliano; his sisters, Marilyn Miliano, Milgros Rodriguez, and Carmen Jerez; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jorge Candelario.
A visitation will be held on Thursday July 10, 2025 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Thursday July 10, 2025 at 11:00 am at Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home. Burial will follow at North Burial Ground Cemetery in Providence, RI.
