Somerset, MassachusettsJoseph Espinosa, 69, of Brookside Road, and formerly of Grove Street, Providence, died Thursday at home. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Tourtellot) Espinosa. They were married for thirty-six years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Jose and Nellie (Webster) Espinoza, he lived in the Federal Hill neighborhood most of his life before moving to Somerset seven years ago. Joe worked as a carpenter in the Maintenance Department for Realty East for fifteen years, retiring in 2004. Besides his wife Barbara, he leaves a son, Joseph M. Espinosa; a step-son, Warren Jennison; two daughters, Theresa Vilardofsky and Dawn Espinosa; a special niece, Ginger Holton; a brother, Robert Espinosa; three sisters, Jovita Elderkin, Dolores Howell, and Evelyn Sanders, and three grandchildren, Barry, Andrea, and Sydnie. He was a brother of the late Frank and John McDermott, Earl Espinosa, Dorothy Barone, and Beatrice Miraldes. The funeral service will be held Monday, at 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Sunday, 4 - 7 pm.
