Joseph Francis Gagliardi

Joseph F. Gagliardi, 86, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday morning, January 5, 2013 at the Greenwich Bay Retirement Living Facility, in East Greenwich. He was the husband of Freda A. (Newman) Gagliardi. They were married for 25 years.Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Vito and Filomena (DePalma) Gagliardi.Prior to retirement, Joe worked for Sunbeam Appliances as a repairman. He also served his country proudly in the United States Army, and was a volunteer fireman with the East Greenwich Fire Department.He was an avid gardener. Joe loved being outside and had a great love for animals.Besides his wife, he leaves four children, John J. Gagliardi, James Gagliardi, Tina Erwin, and Debbie Keough; five step children, Debbie Lee, Donna Saika Messineo, Doreen Stiedele, John Messineo, and Steven Messineo; and five loving grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Vickie Gagliardi.Joseph's funeral with visitation will begin on Friday, January 11, 2013, at 9:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick, with a funeral service at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery, East Greenwich.
