Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Phillip H. and Wilhelmina M. (Langhoff) Lyons.
Joe was the Chief Information Officer for Comsearch for over twenty five years before retiring.
In addition to his wife Joyce, he leaves a son, Joseph W. Lyons and his wife Shannon Lyons; a daughter, Lori A. Lyons and her husband Jeff Reed; a brother, Phillip Lyons; a sister, Florie Rhodes; and three loving grandchildren, Jacey, Tayla and Savanna.
The funeral will be private.
