Joseph Monda

Joe owned and operated the former Monda Bakery on Hartford Avenue for many years. He was also a WW II Army Veteran, earning a Purple Heart. He was on the Board of Directors at the Italo-American Club and a member of the Federal Hill VFW Post.

He was the uncle of Andrew and Dr. Gregory Marchand, Camille Terilli, Karen Mueller, Louis Borelli and the late Dorothy Marchand and brother of the late Jack and Jennie Monda and Molly Borelli.

Visitation will be held Friday from 4–7 PM in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 am in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence. Burial, with Military Honors to follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
