Barrington - Osborne, Joseph C. Sr., 94, of Bayspring Ave, died Sunday at Morgan Health Center in Johnston. He was the husband of the late Frances M. (McGuire) Osborne.Born in New Bedford, he was a son of the late LaForest and Ella (Spieres) Osborne.Joe worked as a automotive mechanical technician and Security Guard for Narragansett Electric Co. for over 20 years, retiring in 1977. He was a World War II Army veteran serving with the 212th Armored Field Artillery Battalion.He leaves his four children, Joseph C. Osborne, Jr. of Oxnard, CA, Kevin A. Osborne, of North Providence, Paul C. Osborne of East Providence and Marianne Pursley of Barrington, a brother, Oliver Osborne of Washington, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.His funeral will be held on THURSDAY at 8 am from the Russell J. Boyle&Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am in St. Anthony Church, Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial with military honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours, Wednesday, 4-7PM.
