Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Giacondina (Desiderato) Verrecchia; wife of Martin J. Conroy for 71 years; mother of Edward J. Conroy and his wife Lucille, Kathleen Ward and her husband James; grandmother of 4; great-grandmother of 5; sister of the late Albert, Michael and Anthony Verrecchia, Mary Almeida, Jennie Carlone and Flora Fabrizzio.
Mrs. Conroy had worked for A.T. Cross before retiring.
Visitation will be held Sunday, 4-7 p.m. with a funeral on Monday at 8 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence, followed by interment in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
