

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marie ( Gerberville ) Proctor.
Kathy was a lover of the arts. In her youth she studied and danced ballet and later enjoyed painting. Her creativity showed as an adult in her flair for home Decor as well as in her cooking. Everything she did was a reflection on who she was, Love. Kathy was the light in her children’s lives as well as many others. She had the ability to make everyone feel like they were the only person in the room. She always put others needs ahead of her own. While beautiful on the outside Kathy was even more beautiful on the inside. Her inner light served as the beacon for several generations of family.
Mrs. Butterfield is survived by her children, Kim Butterfield of Warwick, RI, Christopher Cozza of Coventry, RI, Lisa Butterfield of Simsbury, CT, Lori Butterfield of Washington D.C., Steven Butterfield of Lafayette,CA, Bruce Butterfield of TX and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:00 am from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in St. Gregory the Great, 360 Cowesett Avenue, Warwick, RI. Burial will be in Quidnessett Cemetery, North Kingstown, RI.
Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home Friday November 12, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 pm.
