Born in Laos, she held various positions in the jewelry industry, before her retirement. Her passion is fashion and wanted to see women, young and old to have kept the traditional clothes (Sihn) alive. It makes her happy that Lao tradition will not be forgotten through the struggles of becoming an Asian American.
She left us with fond memories celebrating at temples & Lao new year. She always put other before herself and made sure you are well fed. She will be missed dearly.
She inhaled life with a passion, when she left.. she exhaled peacefully.
Khamphet is survived by her devoted daughter, Somsamai Phommalinh and her husband Phousith Sinphoune.
Visitation Thursday Morning, 9 – 11 am, in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, followed by cremation in Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence.
