Lorenzo A. “Larry” Amodei, 85, passed away August 30, 2014. He was the husband of Angela T. (Gambuto) Amodei for 63 years; son of the late Achille and Victoria (Croce) Amodei; father of June Spencer and her husband David Spencer, and Brenda Amodei and her companion Dominic Marra; grandfather of Mary-Joy Howes, Esq. and Kristen Bock, LICSW and her husband Timothy; great-grandfather of Jeremy Howes, whom he cherished; and brother of William Amodei and his wife Norma, Elizabeth Sedlak, Catherine Testa, Anna Sollecito and her husband Nicholas, and Gerald Amodei and his wife Lana.
Lorenzo was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was a tractor trailer truck driver for the former Almacs and was a member of Teamsters Local 251. He was also an avid Patriots fan, a runner, and a musician.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PICA/Olneyville Food Center, 261 Manton Avenue, Providence, RI 02909.
