She was an avid Catholic and attended mass, either in person, or on television almost every day faithfully. Her faith was unshakeable and she always placed others above herself. She was a member of the former Legion of Mary at St. Edward Church.
She will be remembered as a loving person with a beautiful heart and as a great friend.
She was very creative and often wrote poetry and sewed her own clothing in her younger years. Her interests also included baking, (she was a fantastic baker), gardening - Lucille was a member of the Sun Garden Dial club which she loved and enjoyed, raising funds for philanthropic causes - including being a member of the Veradames of Providence College for a number of years, and one would be remiss not to include her favorite hobby of playing slot machines and engaging in "scratch tickets" whenever she had a chance.
She was a daughter of late Giuseppe and Maria (Giacobbi) Actis; devoted mother of Charles J. Vucci, Esq. (Brenda), Mark J. Vucci, Esq. (Michelle), and Louis A. Vucci, Esq. (Viviana); cherished grandmother of Andrew, Maria, and Patrick Vucci; and loving sister of Joseph, Angela, and the late John Actis.
Lucille loved her family very much and was married to her husband Raymond for over sixty years; they were inseparable. The love of her life were her three grandchildren Andrew, Maria, and Patrick and she was so happy and proud of them. She would always speak highly of them whenever she could.
She will be missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org or Shriners Children’s Hospital, www.shrinerschildrens.org
