Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Andrew, Sr. and Rose (Pierce) Delicio.
She was a graduate of Johnson and Wales University with her Associate’s Degree and worked most of her career in furniture sales.
Marie was known for her witty remarks, gentle presence and most importantly her contagious laugh. She loved the simple things, a cup of coffee in the morning, meeting her girlfriends for lunch every week, always cooking big Italian meals for her family, expressing her personality wearing bright colors and different patterns, she loved getting her nails done and having a good cosmopolitan on occasion. She held onto friendships for decades because she was the kind of person people wanted to have with them forever. She loved her part as a wife, loving and supporting her husband Domenic for over 50 years. She loved, accepted and cared for her entire family, especially all of her many grandchildren. She never missed a birthday, a graduation, or a holiday, any big moment in your life the one person you could always count on being there was her.
She was the matriarch to her family and everyone’s best friend, she would give you the shirt off her back and not think twice about it. She took this journey with grace and resilience, she never gave up and fought harder than most people would be able to. She was beautiful and bright, selfless and sarcastic, compassionate and kind, she was strong and would always put you in your place if needed. She hugged so big and loved so hard, she was genuinely a person you wanted to be and anyone who knew her would consider themselves lucky. Her smile will live on forever.

Coccia, Sr. Devoted mother of Robert “Bobby” Folgo, Bryan Folgo, Domenic Coccia, Jr. and fiancé Alison Bruck, Dino Coccia and wife Catarina A da Silva and Dina Hammond and husband Greg.
