Marie A. Dalma

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Carmella (Verdelotti) Giovannucci.

Marie attended Mount Pleasant High School then later went on to work for the Hospital Trust Bank in the credit department.

She always wanted to ensure the safety of her relatives, one example was that she bought AAA memberships for each of her family members each year, for decades. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brought Marie so much joy and she would reminisce about these memories as each child grew up.

She was the devoted mother of Lori Hoff (Michael) and Kathy Sorrentino (Robert); cherished grandmother of Robert Sorrentino Jr., Jacklynn Razza (Christopher), Sara Al Jallad (Mohammed), Katelynn Barsamian (Marc), and the late Randy Sorrentino; loving great-grandmother of Layla, Zaid, Christopher, and Grace; and adored aunt of David Giovannucci. She was predeceased by her siblings Louise Testa and Edmund Giovannucci.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday May 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, 305 Laurel Hill Ave, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
