

WarwickNichols, Mark B., 55, of Ironwood Court, died unexpectedly Sunday at home. He was the husband of Lisa A. (Manickas) Nichols. They had been married for 16 years. Born in Providence, a son of Claire (Morpeth) Nichols of Boca Raton, Florida and the late Albert E. Nichols, he had lived in Warwick for the past 20 years. . Mark was a 1970 graduate of East Greenwich High School, and then served 4 years in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He attended Johnson & Wales Culinary School and had worked as a chef in several area restaurants. He worked as a clerk with the United States Postal Service, Turnkey, for the past 19 years, and served as a Union Steward for the American Postal Workers Union. Beside his wife, and mother, he leaves a son; Christopher M. Nichols, a daughter; Megan E. Nichols, both at home, a sister; Kim N. Kyle of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and several nieces and nephews. He was an avid animal lover, collected toy trucks as a hobby, and enjoyed the ocean, sitting in the sun at the beach with his family. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, at 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Friday 5 -8 pm.
