

Saint Cloud, FL - Martha W. Pray, 91, passed peacefully at home on Saturday surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Ralph Pray and they shared 45 years of marriage until his passing in 1996.
Born in New Bedford, MA she was a daughter of the late Deborah (Hounsell) Stanford and Charles W. Stanford, Sr. She lived in the Fairlawn section of Pawtucket most of her life and worked for Providence Metallizing Company for many years before retiring in 1993.
She was a devoted member of Crossroads International Church (formerly South Attleboro Assembly of God) and previously Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene for many years.
Martha was a devoted wife and mother who fiercely loved her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Wendy Lowe and her husband Richard, with whom she lived; sons Gary Pray of Lincoln and St. Cloud, FL, Robert Pray and his wife Maria of Pawtucket; Grandchildren Scott Pray, Justin Pray (Jess), Kayla Hobbs, Derek Curtain and Alyssa Suglio (Jordan). 15 Great Grandchildren. She also leaves brothers Albert Stanford (Leona) of Cranston, Earl Stanford (Cathy) of Florida and Allen Stanford (Joan) of Cumberland and Fort Myers, Florida; sister in law Beverly (Anderson) Stanford of Portsmouth, RI. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughters, Dacia Pray and Shelly Gardner; daughter in law Deborah (Hebert) Pray; sisters Ethel Gagnon, Jessie Hembree, Hetty Mae Mort, brothers Edward L. and Charles W. Stanford, Jr. and sister in law Elaine (Vardakis) Stanford
Martha’s visitation will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a service at 12:00PM. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association 245 Waterman St., Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 in Martha’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
