Mary W. Brennan

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John M.M. and Mary W. (Wallace) Brennan.  Her sister, Veronica Donnelly and her Sister-In-law Carol Brennan survive her, along with 17 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Marcella M. Doyle and John P. Brennan.

Mary was a communicant of Holy Name Church for over 85 years.  She graduated from Holy Name School, St. Francis Xavier Academy and the University of Rhode Island.  She was employed for forty years by Insurance Services Office, Inc. (and predecessor organizations).  For ten years, she was the manager of the Rhode Island office.  She was past President of ISO’S Twenty-Five Year Club and had served many years as secretary.  Mary had served on the Catholic Charity Fund’s Executive Committee, The Governors’’ Insurance Council and was a former member of the Rhode Island Association of Insurance Women.  She was past President of St. Francis Xavier Alumnae Association an had served as Vice President and Treasurer of the Holy Name School Alumni Association.

A visitation for relatives and friends will be Saturday, January 30th from 9 – 10:15 am in Holy Name Church, 107 Camp Street Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am.  Burial will be private.  Kindly omit flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to:  Holy Name Church, 99 Camp St., Providence, RI 02906.
