Mary T. Cooney

WARWICK Mary T. Cooney, 82, of Cove Avenue, passed away Thursday at home with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late John F. Cooney, Jr. Born in Binghamton, New York, She was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Sullivan) McGlynn.Mrs. Cooney attended the College of Saint Elizabeth in New Jersey. She worked as a sales associate for the former Shepard's, Jordan Marsh & Company, and Macy's for many years before retiring. Mary loved chocolate, crossword puzzles, gardening, going to the beach, and was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family. She leaves her five children; Marianne T. Cooney, of Pawtucket, John J. Cooney and Peter J. Cooney, of Warwick, Christopher J. Cooney, of Hopkinton, MA, and Kevin P. Cooney of Cranston; seven grandchildren; and was also the sister of the late J. Joseph McGlynn. Her funeral will be held on Monday, at 9:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117 - Exit 10 off I-95) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in SS. Rose & Clement Parish, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITATION will be from 8:30 - 9:30 am prior to the funeral.
