Mary Agnes McCarthy

Providence: McCarthy, Mary A. "Mimi" (McCarron),formerly of Basswood Ave, passed away on Monday at St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich. She was the wife of the late Timothy J. McCarthy,Sr.Esq. She was a lifelong resident of Providence, the daughter of the late George and Mary "May" (Kinney) McCarron. She was a summer resident of Bonnet Shores in Narragansett for many years. Mary was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society of St. Augustine Church and a member of the Bonnet Shores Beach Club. Mary's family was the focus of her entire life. She was a cherished and devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Mary Beth Sowa and her husband Randy; Joseph G. McCarthy and his wife Colleen; Carol A. Wagner and her husband David and Timothy J. McCarthy, Jr. She was the grandmother of five grandchildren, Caitlin and Phillip Sowa, Jay, Jacqueline and Meredith Wagner. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St. Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
