Michael W. DeCarlo, Sr

Pawtucket: DeCarlo, Michael W. Sr., "Mike the Barber", 78, of Drolet Ave, died Sunday at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret "Peggy" (Farrar) DeCarlo.Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Rocco and Filomena (Parrillo) DeCarlo.Mr. DeCarlo was the owner of Michael's Barber Shop in Fairlawn for 53 years, retiring in 1999. He loved golf and was a member of Theater Tap Golf League for over 30 years. He was a member of the TRI-City Elks, Lodge #14. He also survived by his son, Michael W. DeCarlo, Jr. of Pawtucket and his daughter, Kim-Marie DeCarlo of Pawtucket, two brothers, John DeCarlo of Pawtucket and Rocco DeCarlo of North Providence, a sister, Evelyn Olean of Lincoln and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves Peggy's children, Patricia and Robert Buchanan and grandson, Max Buchanan.His funeral will be Wednesday at 8:30am from the Russell J. Boyle&Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St. Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am in St Leo the Great Church, Central Ave, Pawtucket. Burial will be private.Visiting hours, WEDNESDAY morning, 8:30am to 10:15am.
