Mildred M. Mahoney

CoventryMahoney, Mildred M., 88, of Flat River Road, died peacefully Monday at South County Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Dennis J. Mahoney.Born in Providence, a daughter of the late William L. and Mildred (Gaucher) Burns, she lived in Coventry most of her life.Mildred was a secretary at the Quonset Point Naval Air Station for many years before retiring.She was a longtime communicant of Sts. John & Paul Church, Coventry, and an avid lover of her many pets and animals over the years. She leaves her loving son, and daughter in law, Timothy P. Mahoney and his wife, Debra A. Gormley; two grandchildren, Robin Fiske and William Fiske; and a great-grandson, Ryan Fiske. She was pre-deceased be her daughter, Kathleen D. Fiske, and her son, Dennis M. Mahoney. The funeral will be held Monday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sts. John & Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Sunday, 3 - 6 pm.
