

Natalie A. (Johnston) Murray, 87, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully at Scalabrini Villa, North Kingstown. She was the wife of the late Peter Joseph Murray. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Dempsey) Johnston. She was the loving sister of the late Barbara and Thomas Johnston.
Natalie was a devoted wife, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. She loved being with all of her children and grandchildren on Sunday for a meal. She was a beloved grandmother who was known to her grandchildren as “Nanny” and was always generous with her lollipops. She was a loving friend to her sister Barbara and all of her “Peppy Pals”. Her days with her sister, family and friends at Bonnet Shores were some of her most cherished memories.
She loved nature and animals. Natalie’s faith played an influential role in her life. A communicant of St. Thomas More Parish, she attended mass daily and baked for funerals. To know Natalie was to love her. She was adored for her vigor and vibrancy.
Natalie is survived by her children Peter J.(Linda) Murray of Saunderstown, Patrick (Stacie) Murray of Whitinsville, MA, Maureen Murray of Exeter, Barbara A. (Daniel) Johnson of Narragansett, and her grandchildren Peter J., Meaghan L., Dylan, Jameson, Braden Murray, Brianna, Julia, Samuel J. Van Gyzen, and Maeve Madalyn Johnson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday October 27, 2020 at 10:00 am in St. Veronica Chapel, 1053 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett. Due to current restrictions, burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (Click Here).
