Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Nicola and Anna (Riley) Jacobellis and the husband of 53 years to Delores “Del” (DiSalvo) Jacobellis.
Mr. Jacobellis was a civil engineer for the State of Rhode Island; DOT for 33 years and later worked for Tilcon Gammino before retiring. He was also an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.
He was the father of Thomas N. Jacobellis, Rebecca A. Jacobellis-Hillier and Melissa A. Jacobellis; grandfather of 5 and brother of Nunzio Jacobellis, Vincent Iacobellis and Veronica Orabone.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Friday, 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial, with Military Honors will follow in the R.I. Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter.
