Olga Helen Troiano

She was the wife of the late Lt. Col. Lawrence V. Troiano. Born on July 9, 1927 in Harbin, China, she was the daughter of the late Nikolai and Zinaida (Pourgina) Startseff.

Olga was the beloved mother of Mary Ann Hanlon and her husband Art, Steve Troiano and his wife Kathy, Paula Souler and her husband Rick, Carmen Cavanaugh and her husband Steve, Nick Troiano and his wife Sonia, Larry Troiano and his wife Debbie, Dan Troiano, and Chris Troiano and his wife Ruby. She was the loving grandmother of Nina Hanlon, Genie Hanlon and her husband Jesse Paone, Kristen Hauk and her husband JT, Lisa Stokes and her husband Clint, Stephen Troiano, Kim St. Ours and her husband Mark, Lauren Taylor and her husband Tom, Dana Duffy and her husband Sean, Chris Cavanaugh and his partner Carrie Ann Clark, Stephanie Jaquith and her husband Tim, Christopher Troiano, Alex Jacklin and her husband Travis, Nick Troiano, Emily Hickey and her husband Mike, Lydia Troiano and her partner Corey Fish, Hilary Tomazzolli and her husband Anthony, Mark Troiano and his wife Crystalyn, Rence Troiano, Danielle Troiano, Sean Troiano, and Ryan Troiano and his partner Ryan Cully. Olga had 20 cherished great grandchildren.

In her long life, Olga loved visiting with her extensive family. She also enjoyed travelling the world. She was a talented artist, and many of her family proudly display her paintings. She also enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She was a faithful member of the Orthodox Church, and attended services as she could up until her passing.

Her funeral service will be on Friday, February 7th at 6:00 p.m. in the Holy Dormition Orthodox Church, 71 Manville Hill Road, Cumberland, RI. There will be a short ceremony at the church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
