CoventryJurgelon, Peter J., 89, of Holland drive, died Saturday at Coventry Health Care Center. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Buchanan) Jurgelon. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Joseph and Michalina (Jesukevicius) Jurgelon. Mr. Jurgelon was the proprietor of the former Jolly Chef Restaurants on Reservoir Avenue, Cranston, and Bald Hill Road, Warwick, for many years. He then founded The Helm Restaurant, in Warwick, which he operated for several years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.Peter is survived by a brother, Edward Jurgelon; a sister, Minnie Ramieka; and several loving nieces and nephews. He was a brother of the late Rose Ulbin.The funeral service will be held Saturday, at 9:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Exeter Animal Shelter, 169 South County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822 in his memory will be appreciated.
