If he ever sent you to the penalty box, please be assured that it was a fair call. He was a curious, animated and passionate person with strong opinions about how things could be done best. He wishes that more people had moved out of the left passing lane. He believed in developing not just intelligence but also common sense. He enjoyed gardening, travel, the ocean and body-surfing at The Green Hill Beach Club, where he was a long-term member. He was a master storyteller and was open and inquisitive about people and their experiences. His devotion to God was shown in his love of the natural world and his quiet good works in the community. He was a humbly generous man. He was loved and will be missed by many. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit with Peter’s family on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm, in the Russell J.
