Philip D. DiMaria

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Rosario and Angelina (DiRocco) DiMaria.

Phil was a Jewelry model maker for many years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, family and his grandchildren, he was also a talented sculptor and woodcarver.

He was the father of Philip A. DiMaria and his wife Mary, Richard DiMaria and his wife Sheryl and Denise DiMaria-Sabourin and her husband John and grandfather of Cameron and Alyssa. He was the brother of Angelo DiMaria and the late Nicholas, Joseph, Charles and Vincent DiMaria, Ann Ranone and Jean Parillo.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bartholomew’s Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phil’s memory to the Ocean State for Independent Living, 1944 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI 02889. VISITATION MONDAY 4-8 PM.
