Philomena A. (Mattera) Bertrand, 85, formerly of Providence, passed away September 10th. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Bertrand and daughter of the late Paolo and Anna Marie (Calise) Mattera. She was the beloved mother of Ann Marie Hamilton, with whom she resided; devoted grandmother of Allison Houle and her husband Kyle; and sister of Vincent and William Mattera. She was the sister of the late John, Mario, Vito, and Paul Mattera.
She was a wonderful homemaker who devoted her life to her family and she especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with loved ones.
Visitation Friday 4-7 p.m. with a funeral on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, Eaton St., Providence.
