Born on August 1, 1930, in Rawal Pindi, India, he was the son of the late Beant Ram Chadha and Krishna Wanthi Chadha.
Mr. Chadha earned a double PHD in Chemistry, first in Chemistry from Lucknow University (India) and second in Organic Chemistry from Aberdeen University (Scottland). While attending college, he played on the University badminton team and played on The University Archery Team. He also tried out for National Indian Archery team.
He owned businesses around the world with his best friend, Kailash Pande: Carrol Products, Carrol Products Far East, HighSpring Milling Company and Schuylkill Chemicals.
Besides his wife Ajit Kaur Chadha, he is survived by his children, Daman Hines, Kunwar Chadha, Rajit Chadha and Ajit Singh.
He was also the brother of the late Baij Nath Chadha, Mohinder Nath Chadha, Pushpa Rani Anand, Arun Bala Bhasin and Asha Dua.
My dad was a loving husband, a respectful father and a pillar of strength to his family and Indian community. He was very forgiving in the truest sense of the word. He always felt that a person’s faults were not what defined them, it was the acceptance of their faults so they can improve and learn from them that was important.
He loved traveling internationally: India, Japan, England, Europe, and truly believed that the best type of knowledge one can grow from comes from traveling, because it gives you a grounded understanding of having respect for what one has: love and mutual respect.
His services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM in the Hope and Memory Chapel of Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence.
