

Providence Richard Albert Skog, Jr., 42, of Putnam, CT and formerly of RI, died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at home of an apparent heart attack. Rick was born in Providence, RI on December 6, 1970. He graduated from Coventry High School in 1989 and also attended Johnson & Wales University. He previously worked in the sales departments of the Providence Business News and the Warwick Beacon. He was very active in regional theater and had most recently appeared as Mr. Kirby in a production of "You Can't Take It With You" at the Bradley Playhouse in Putnam. Rick leaves his parents, Richard A. Skog, Sr. and Mary J. (Surrette) Skog of Putnam, CT; his three children, Morgan Bayley Skog, Riley Rivers Skog, and Brody Hudson Skog, of East Providence, RI; his sister, Kristen Skog Buerstetta, brother-in-law, Grant E. Buerstetta, and two nephews, Mason Quinn and Wynton Jack Buerstetta of Stamford, CT; his grandmother, Anne E. Skog of Cranston, RI and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The funeral service will be held Friday, at 11:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd (Rt117) Warwick, RI. Visiting hours Thursday, 5 - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Theatre of Northeastern Connecticut, 30 Front Street, Putnam, CT 06260 in his memory will be appreciated.
