Robert F. Flynn

North Kingstown Robert F. Flynn, 82, of North Kingstown, died Wednesday morning, June 21, 2017 at home. He was the beloved husband of Maureen H. (O'Hara) Flynn for the past 55 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Catherine (Smith) Flynn. Robert served our nation proudly as a member of the United States Army Reserves, earning the rank of Second Lieutenant. He attended Providence College where he obtained both an undergraduate and Master's degree. He later worked as an administrator for the Providence School Department for over 30 years before retiring in 2001. He was a faithful communicant of Saint Francis de Sales Church.In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Timothy J. Flynn, and James M. Flynn and his wife Jennifer; three brothers, John, Thomas, and Joseph Flynn; and two grandsons, Conner and Anthony. He was the brother of the late Leo Flynn, Eileen Flynn, and Mary McHugh.The funeral will be held Saturday, at 8:45am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rte. 117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Francis de Sales Church, 381 School St, North Kingstown. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Friday, 4:00 -7:00 pm.
