Robert "Bob" Michael Hagan

Robert M. “Bob” Hagan, 90, of Warwick and Narragansett, passed away peacefully at his beach house in the loving arms of his family on Tuesday, April 20, 2015. He was the devoted husband for 60 years to the late Anna (Petrarca) Hagan. Born in Cranston, he was the son of Lewis and Margaret (Donovan) Hagan. The loving and proud father of Ann Hagan Webb and her husband, Richard, of Wellesley, MA, Carol Hagan McEntee and her husband, Michael, of South Kingstown, James Hagan and his wife, Judy, of Mansfield, MA and Amy Hagan and her husband, Charles Julian, of North Kingstown; Loving grandfather of Meghan, Mickey and Rory McEntee, Jessica Webb Beckerman and her husband, Marty, Carolline and Nate Webb, and Harry Hagan. He co-owned and worked at Bald Hill Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Kia, from 1950 until two weeks prior to his death. Bob loved his beach house, swimming in the ocean, traveling,playing cards, the Red Sox, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He was a real character and had a robust sense of humor. He truly enjoyed life, and lived his to the fullest. In his own words "We had a great run!" Mr. Hagan graduated in 1949 from the University of Rhode Island. He also served his country proudly during WWII, with the United States Army 8 th Armored Division, Thundering Herd. During his faithful service he was the recipient of the Purple Heart. His funeral will begin on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 9:00 am, i n the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117 – Exit 10 off I95) Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am, in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting Hours will be on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
