

Hines, Robert H., 88, of Cranston, passed away peacefully into God's hands on June 9th surrounded by his loving children. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Marchetti) Hines. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James and Ellie (Stone) Hines. Bob was a World War II Army veteran and retired from New England Telephone Company after thirty years of service. He was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers. Bob was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Parish. He is survived by his devoted children, Robert M. Hines and his wife Deborah of Smithfield and Maureen E. DeCesaris and her husband James of Cranston; his five grandchildren and three great grandchildren and his brother J. Gerald Hines. He was the brother of the late Mary Barresi, Msgr.Leo Hines and Grace Canning. Funeral will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 8:30 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial with military honors in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours, Sunday, 4-7 pm.
