

Robert L. Potter of Warwick, Rhode Island passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 4, 2015. He is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Margaret (Murray) Potter. He leaves his sons Robert J. Potter and his wife Elizabeth of Winchester, Massachusetts and Stephen Potter and his wife Penny of Cranston, Rhode Island along with his daughters Margaret Fish and her partner Peter Coren of Newcastle, New Hampshire and Sheila Forsythe and her husband Thomas of East Greenwich, Rhode Island. He will also be missed by his eleven grandchildren Ryan, Kristina and Michael (wife Dr. Jennifer) Fish, Heather DeCiccio (husband Alex), Jaclyn Forsythe, Michaela Potter, Juliana, Andrew, Cole, Bridgit and Kathryn Potter. He was the longtime companion of Jane Natale. Bob served as a corporal in the US Army during the Korean War. He had a long career in retail management in addition to being a volunteer in the Rhode Island Courts system. He loved the Red Sox, Patriots and world politics but his greatest passion was his family. He was deeply loved and we will forever miss his quick wit, trademark sense of humor and big personality. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful nurses and staff at the Clipper Home in Portsmouth, New Hampshire for their loving care and support they provided to our father and Papa.Visitation and Funeral will be held on Monday, March, 9, 2015 at 10:00 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon in St. Kevin church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Kindly omit flowers.
