He was the husband of Alice (Capaldi) Johnson for 63 years; son of the late Joseph and Victoria (Paquin) Johnson; father of Elise Johnson-Stanford, Linda Mongelli and husband John, and Cynthia Lane and husband Harold; grandfather of Michele, Myles, Lisa, Victoria and Audrey; brother of the late Edmund, Leo, Albert, Emile, Lucy, Beatrice and Fabiola.
Romeo lived most of his life in Lincoln, previously living in Cumberland. His greatest enjoyment was to spend time with his wife and family. He had worked for over 40 years for the Capaldi Construction Company and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 57.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. with the funeral on Thursday at 10 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Ave., Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Jude’s Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln, followed by burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
