

ProvidenceHagopian, Rose, died peacefully Monday, with her sister, Elizabeth Hagopian by her side. Born in Fitchburg, MA, she was a daughter of the late Ervant and Sepourhie (Kaprelian) Hagopian.Rose attended the Henry Barnard School at Rhode Island College. She was a member of the student body of the first graduating class of Murad School in 1937. She also attended Hope High School.Rose worked in the accounting department for Textron, Narragansett Brewery, and Ro-Jack's Food Stores, Inc.Besides her sister, she leaves three nephews, two nieces, and twelve grand nephews and grand nieces. She was pre deceased by her parents, and two brothers, Hagop (Jack) Hagopian, and Gabriel Hagopian.She was a member of the Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church and a member of the Arni Chapter of the Armenian Relief Society for over 50 years. Rose was a world traveler and loved visiting her Armenian homeland. She also enjoyed bowling, skiing, golfing, reading, and painting.Her funeral with visitation will begin on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 8:30 from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Funeral services at 10:00 in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway, Providence. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway, Providence, RI 02909 in Rose's memory would be appreciated.
