Rosie Harrington

Rosie (Galica) Harrington, age 79, of West Greenwich, passed away on February 6, 2015 at Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Care of RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald P. Harrington, Sr.Rosie was born in Stafford Springs, CT, a daughter of the late John and Sophia (Naglack) Galica. Before retirement in 2004, Rosie was employed as a secretary in the business and law department with CCRI, for over 26 years. She was the founder of the Coventry Junior Baseball League. She was a member of Kappa Beta Delta and a firm believer in continuing education. Rosie was a devout catholic, and a communicant of St John & Paul Church. Most of all she was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family. She was the mother of Donald P. Harrington, Jr. of Greene RI, Keith E. Harrington of Anthem, AZ, Lynn M. Harrington of Coventry, Sheila A. Rayhill of Charlestown and Lori R. Padula of West Greenwich, grand mother of 12, and sister of Francis Galica of CT. She was also the sister of the late John, Edward, Paul, Matthew, Stanley and Joseph Galica and the late Anne Vieira, Helen Dorsey and Sophie Wargo.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 10am in St. John & Paul Church 341 South Main St in Coventry. Interment will follow in St Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
